USACE Egyptian Navy ShoreBox (2016 – 2017):

Interdyne was awarded Contract # W912ER-16-P-0014 for the procurement of a customized Schneider ShoreBox, a containerized system which will provide ship to shore power at Piers 3/4 at the Ras El Tin Naval base in Alexandria, Egypt, in April of 2016. The total value of this 1 year contract was approximately $1,606,000.00. Interdyne was also awarded 2 follow-on contracts in support of the ShoreBox. We were awarded Contract #W912ER-17-P0031 forElectrical Material Procurement in support of the ShoreBox in June of 2017 in the amount of $1,308,631.00. We were then also awarded Contract #W912ER-17-C-0013 for installation of the ShoreBox in August of 2017, in the amount of $757,560.00.

The Schneider ShoreBox is a containerized system which provides ship to shore power, for the Egyptian Navy at Ras El Tin Naval Base in Alexandria, Egypt. This ShoreBox resolves the current issues with frequency converters and provides safe, clean, host nation power from which vessels docked at the Navy pier can access. Site electrical & civil installation work on this project includes: Connection to the 11 KV local power supply; Placement of Shorebox on Manufacturer’s recommended cement pad; Output 6.6 KV electrical cables installed underground per NEC code to external 3750KW step-down transformer; Installation of electrical bus-bar to electrical switchgear; Grounding rods for all equipment; Maintenance platforms on each side of the Shorebox; Factory testing and training at manufacturer; In-country training; Manufacturer commissioning; & 1 year maintenance & warranty service.
